REF: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – 2019/20 FINANCIAL YEAR
Kindly receive the following communication update in relations to the Institute of Business Advisors Southern African (IBASA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year 2019/20. The AGM is normally held during the month of September 2020 and this has been the tradition in the previous years. The only exception being the previous one that was held on 13 February 2020.
However, due to current COVID-19 disruptions encountered this year, the Board wishes to advise members that the AGM will be inevitably delayed until further notice.
The delays take into consideration the requirements of the Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI) of IBASA in relation to general meetings, which states that ‘….6.6.1 IBASA must hold an Annual General Meeting within 15 (fifteen) months of the previous annual’. The last AGM was held on the 13th February 2020, therefore clause 6.6.1 is correctly applicable.
The Board of IBASA is mindful of the critical importance of this general meeting and we are expediting its execution.
Furthermore, the Board wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all our members and valued stakeholders for demonstrating your patience and understanding in this regard.
