This is a friendly reminder that nominations for the IBASA Board Members 2024/25 are still open. We are seeking individuals with specific competencies crucial to the organization’s growth and success. If you haven’t already, this is your opportunity to nominate eligible candidates to join the Board of IBASA. We are seeking individuals with specific competencies crucial to the organization’s growth and success. Please note that only IBASA members in good standing are eligible for nomination.
We are looking for candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Financial Literacy:
- Understanding financial statements.
- Budgeting and financial planning.
- Risk assessment and management.
Strategic Planning:
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Ability to contribute to long-term organizational goals.
Industry Knowledge:
- Awareness of enterprise and economic development, including the SMME support landscape.
Governance Expertise:
- Understanding of corporate governance principles.
- Knowledge of board responsibilities and fiduciary duties.
Leadership and Management:
- Proven leadership experience.
- Management skills for overseeing executive teams.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance:
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations affecting the organization.
- Legal expertise, especially for specific industries.
Human Resources and Compensation:
- Knowledge of HR practices and compensation strategies.
- Understanding of talent management and succession planning.
Professional Body Administration and Management:
- Knowledge and experience in working with membership organisations.
- Knowledge and experience in working with professional bodies.
